I just spent over an hour, used all three sheets trying as best I could to follow the directions. I found no way to apply these sheets without getting air bubbles under them. On top of that, while I could remove many of the bubbles with the piece of cardboard that they call an "installation card", many more would not budge.

If they were more expensive I would return them, instead the whole mess is in the garbage. Even the one star is undeserved.

I definitely agree with the one star reviews in that this is not easy to use. Before installing, there cannot be any dust on the screen. The protector is fairly rigid, and the tiniest specks will result in bubbles. Using the card will not help, since it cannot push out dust trapped underneath the protector.

On the third try, I figured it out. Any dust usually sticks to the underside of the protector. Using a piece of clear packaging tape, I was able to remove the dust. The tape can be easily removed from the underside of the protector.

1. Cut the packaging tape into 3-4 inch strips and stick one end of each strip such that it hangs off your desk, so that you can easily use it later.

2. Remove all dust from the tablet surface.

3. Remove the film #1 from the protector. Put it aside in dust free area, as you may need it later.

4. Align the protector with the camera notch first, and slowly lower the protector across the tablet screen. Using the card, remove any air bubbles starting from the centerline and working your way to the edges, as you are lowering the protector across the tablet.

5. For any air bubbles that can't be removed, look for a tiny speck of dust in the center of the bubble. Lift up the protector and use a piece of tape to get the dust off the underside of the protector. The protector can be repositioned as it appears to stick by static cling. Dust on the tablet screen can be wiped off, but due to static cling, dust on the underside of the protector needs to be removed with tape. Be careful not to introduce any new dust as you're using the tape.

6. After lowering the whole protector down, I noticed a few dust bubbles. The protector was a bit difficult to remove, so I used the edge of film #1 to wedge underneath the protector and lift it up. This allowed me to use the tape to remove the dust. After doing step 6 a few times, I was able to get all of the dust out.

For some reason, although I got all of the dust out, there are a few bubbles along the edges. The protector is crystal clear, but does attract fingerprints. (I'm typing with it now.) I'm glad that I was able to get it to work. Maybe a can of compressed air would have helped, but I didn't have one.

Update:
This protector is a fingerprint magnet! The surface also has a squeaky clean sensation similar glass causing your fingers to drag, rather than gliding smoothly. I had some Mother's plastic polish, and it gave the surface a much smoother feeling and was easier to clean.

I've read some reviews of other brands of protectors. Some can leave a sticky residue, and others require a wet application. All of them appear to require a fair amount of time and effort in applying. I'm satisfied with it now, and would probably buy it again, now that I understand all of the caveats and workarounds above.

One month update:
Continues to be a fingerprint magnet. Have used the plastic polish twice, and it really helps.
Protector remains scratch free. No new bubbles. (The few small ones along the edges are still there.)
Since, I plan to use this tablet for a long time, I went ahead and bought another set of screen protectors just in case.

Thought these would be easy to install, not true. Being a "Dry" installation, you have little room for error. My protectors were sized such that there was no way to get a perfect alignment, thus left a large air bubble on one corner of the Thrive, or around the camera bezel. Wasted all 3 on one device trying to get it right. You cannot lift them back up to make minor adjustments or to get stubborn bubbles out because it they would no longer stick. I have installed other brands of protectors on both my phones and tablets without any problems.
